Job Opening: Title: Supplier Quality Engineer Job duties: Improves supplier quality management including incoming inspection; Manage the supplier performance evaluation program and perform audits of suppliers' quality systems and manufacturing process; Ensure all non-conformities made by the supplier are made known and that relevant corrective and preventative actions are taken by the supplier; Responsible for reporting of suppliers quality and delivery performance and any concerns; Conduct purchase part productibilities with suppliers and review PPAP parts/documentation for acceptance; Perform supplier quality assessments to assist in the supplier selection and certification process; Initiate and follow up on supplier quality improvement projects; Identify/communicate critical characteristics on purchased parts; Review and approve new designs with a quality focus. Initiate actions to improve purchased part capabilities to greater than 1.67 Cpk; Contribute to the development of new product FMEA's and control plans; Participate in new design APQP events; Work with Engineering to develop supplier product qualification programs to speed implementation. Desired Major(s): BS in Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering + 2yrs exp. reqd. Perform supplier quality assessment, audit suppliers' quality system and manufacturing process.
